Video: Content Marketing Made Simple

This morning we produced a live video broadcast of Red Door Interactive's March Speaker Series: Content Marketing Made Simple.  Some of the topics covered during the hour long event included how to brainstorm ideas for content by leveraging internal as well as external resources, creating consumable and shareable content, and tools to measure your content marketing success.

SlopeViews 360° Spherical Video

SlopeViews is a company based in Vail, CO that creates interactive 360° spherical videos.  The company uses a Dodeca 2360 camera that synchronizes 11 video streams and 3 channels of audio that captures high resolution footage and sound in every direction.  The result is a video that can be interacted with by clicking and dragging the mouse in any direction.  Here is an example:

SlopeViews uses the same technology as Google Street View and the company behind the camera and software technology is Immersive Media based in Calgary, Alberta Canada.  SlopeViews plans to produce and deliver interactive videos for ski resorts, golf courses, sporting events, music festivals and "anywhere else immersive video can help people experience a remote environment".

SlopeViews was recently featured on 9News.com and talked about their new ski resort mapping application - OnSnow

BlipSnips - VCIR Technology Showcase

John Bliss, CEO of BlipSnips, presents at Venture Capital in the Rockies Winter 2010 Technology Showcase.  BlipSnips enables users to tag, syndicate, and inspire conversations about specific moments of videos across their social graph.  The service provides a unique way for online users to more highly engage with videos across the world's most popular video players through a platform providing scale and measurable data-driven statistics concerning user engagement.

Micah Baldwin talks Graphic.ly

Late last week we interviewed Micah Badwin about a number of topics surrounding Graphic.ly, a startup creating a digital platform around comics.  The interview is divided into four parts and the full audio can be downloaded or listened to at the bottom of this post.

In part one Micah Baldwin, CEO and Chief Community Caretaker, explains what Graphic.ly brings to the world of comic books, how he got involved with the start-up and the overall landscape of online comic book communities.

Part two discusses the recent acquisition of iFanboy and what it means for Graphic.ly.

In part three  Micah talks about their new hire, Charley Hine, and how Graphic.ly plans to apply location data to the experience of reading digital comic books.

In the final segment Micah talks about how the iPad and other digital devices are just form factors for viewing content.

Mixergy Interviews Josh Fraser - EventVue

Mixergy, a video driven site that we look up to here at ColoradoTechTV, interviewed Josh Fraser, co-founder of EventVue - a 2007 TechStars company.  There has been a lot of coverage of EventVue as of late due to their announcement earlier this month that they were closing shop, and their post-mortem blog post.

Gary Vaynerchuck - "Crush It!" Book Tour
